Nutzen Sie den Heilstollen oder besichtigen Sie bei einer Führung das Bergwerk.
Die Führung beginnt am Eingang zum "Neuen Stollen" mit einer kurzen Information zum Verhalten im Berg. Sie werden von erfahrenen Bergführern geleitet und am Ende dieses Stollenganges mit einen herzlichen Glück Auf im Berg begrüßt. Die Dauer des Rundganges beträgt 45 Minuten. Sie besichtigen dabei insgesamt 6 Grotten.
Den Morassinaort - Schmiedefeld finden Sie direkt im Zentrum des Thüringer Waldes. Er steht für eine Region mit vordergründiger Orientierung auf präventive Gesundheitsangebote. Die Präventionsprogramme sind speziellen Zielgruppen zugeordnet.
Seinen Ursprung verdankt der Ort Schmiedefeld umfangreichen Eisenerzlagerstätten die bis zur Erdoberfläche anstanden. Über viele Jahrhunderte hinweg prägte der Bergbau die hier lebenden Menschen, aber auch die Natur und die Landschaft. Doch nicht nur Untertage sondern auch Übertage hat der Ort seine Besonderheiten. Bereits 1929 regte der Schriftführer des Hauptvorstandes des Thüringer Waldvereines Herr Prof. Wilhelm Greiner aus Eisenach an, Erholungssuchende nach Schmiedefeld einzuladen. Er hatte schon damals erkannt, dass die hiesigen landschaftsklimatischen Gegebenheiten der Region ein Kurortpotential auf hohem Niveau verleihen. Im Gesundheitszentrum Morassina werden diese Erkenntnisse in die Praxis umgesetzt.

21 km - Oberweißbacher mountain and Schwarzatalbahn
A listed technical attraction is the Oberweißbacher Bergbahn. As the steepest funicular railway in the world for transporting standard-gauge railway carriages, it overcomes a difference in altitude of 320 meters over a distance of 1,360 meters from the Obstfelderschmiede valley station to the Lichtenhain mountain station (gradient 1:4 = 25%). It runs every half hour every day. The journey time is about 20 minutes.

Im Spätmittelalter (um 1600) fungierte das heutige Museum als Amtshaus. Beim großen Stadtbrand 1690 wurde es zerstört und als Rathaus mit Tanzsaal und Ratskeller wieder aufgebaut. Mit der Stadtentwicklung erlebte dieses Gebäude vielfältige Variationen seiner Nutzung: Von Amtsgericht über Arbeitsamt, Gewerkschaftsbüro, Schule, Heimatmuseum mit Stadtarchiv, Kindergarten, Bibliothek bis hin zum Seniorentreff. Seit 1995 beherbergt das Baudenkmal wieder die Sammlung des Heimatmuseums. Die vielen Exponate des Museums erzählen von der urkundlichen Erwähnung der Ansiedlung Schalkaus, den engen Beziehungen zur Schaumburg und den im Wandel der Zeiten herrschenden Geschlechtern.

Museum of regional folklore The heart of Eisfeld Castle is a medieval castle complex consisting of Pallas and a keep, which was built in the 11th and 12th centuries on the site of an older fortification and has undergone many changes over the centuries. The Bertholdsburg - the most important secular building in southern Thuringia - is the landmark of the city of Schleusingen on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest.
It now houses the Schleusingen Natural History Museum. Since 1988, all natural history collections in southern Thuringia have been professionally and appropriately stored and cared for in the Natural History Museum Schloss Bertholdsburg Schleusingen. The egapark Erfurt is one of the largest flower and garden parks in Germany. It embodies the best traditions of horticulture in Thuringia and is the visible sign of the liveliness of the "flower city" of Erfurt.
Already used as a park in the 1920s, the area around the old Cyriaksburg Fortress was redesigned as a garden and exhibition park in 1959 according to designs by the well-known landscape architect Reinhold Lingner. The people from Erfurt put in thousands of hours of construction work. The sculpture "The Construction Helper" in front of the main entrance still bears witness to this today.

The baroque pilgrimage basilica of the Fourteen Saints was built by the famous architect Balthasar Neumann and was extensively renovated just a few years ago. From the 15th century to the present day, pilgrims have come to the Fourteen Saints, one of the most famous pilgrimage sites, to ask for the protection of the 14 Holy Helpers.
The "place of grace fourteen holy". More than 500 years ago, a shepherd had an apparition in a meadow that was to become the foundation stone for one of the most famous pilgrimage churches in Bavaria. The basilica was built at the end of the 18th century - it is one of the most important baroque buildings in Bavaria.
The pilgrimage site of the Fourteen Saints is on the Way of St. James. The Way of St. James (Spanish: Camino de Santiago) is the name given to the pilgrimage route to the tomb of the Apostle James. The tomb is in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
